A book inspired by the vivid and colorful photography found in a calendar, given as a friendship gift to the author.

The calendar triggered a reminder of the words of Malcolm X who once said, “Math Is Nothing But Rhythm.” Thus a book was created.

The book was written to make known that Math and Rhythm represent two sides of the same coin. One side is the numerical representation of rhythm, while the other side of the coin is the graphic representation of rhythm. Both side of the coin originate from the same source-nature.

To illustrate the point, pictures of dancers and artists such as John Coltrane and Ella Fitzgerald are used throughout the book.
